Newark FFA Participates In Environthon

On Thursday the 12th of April, the Newark FFA Chapter participated in the 2012 Environthon that was held at the Seneca FFA Barn. Newark entered two teams of five members respectively. Team I being the Biology II class consisted of Taylor Ayers, Gene Hamman, Kenny Hume, Jayson Shirley, and Derek Doeing. Team II was the FFA team with Wyatt Williamson, Ben Spraggon, Deanna Drew, Molly Bernard, and Tyler Perkins. The Environthon consisted in learning in areas of soils, wildlife, aquatics, forestry, and pollution. The Biology II team placed in 7th and the FFA team placed 9th respectively.
